Last week, I was pleased to be able to meet with representatives from Sue Ryder, to discuss their Dee View Court expansion in Aberdeen. It is the only specialist neurological care centre in Scotland, and provides care for people who have been paralysed in road accidents, or have developed rare neurological conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis or Motor Neurone Disease.
This expansion will cost £3.9m and provide 20 additional bedrooms. They have had consistently long waiting lists and this will help them to help more people. I am donating half of my Aberdeen City Councillor's salary to the project, and urge anyone that may be interested or able to help, to go to www.sueryder.org to find out more.
